Bibetech, a leading company in the plastics moulding sector. It is divided into two main units dedicated to anti-theft devices for the production of glasses and LED lighting. The digital factory is located in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza, Italy) and has about 40 presses and 60 employees.
The moulding and assembly sector is still very competitive although, due to the crisis of recent years, only the most solid and structured companies have resisted. The choice of having a MES tool for operational management and production control has allowed us to work at full speed and with efficiency while remaining competitive on the market. Bibetech and the optimization of its work

Project implementation
The project started with the installation of a 10″touch station for the control of each moulding machine and the monitoring of the assembly departments. The workstations allow you to monitor in real time the production efficiency and the status of the machines, and to acquire all the information processed.
The acquired data are then stored in Opera MES and shown in a synoptic view visible to all operators and which allows the factory to be monitored at all times. The Opera MES platform allows the visualization of data from any company device and from a web-TV located in the factory, through the use of a web portal.
In other words, Opera allows online data to be viewed from any browser, as well as from any business device, such as smartphones, TVs, and department monitors. In addition, Opera MES is equipped with a Business Intelligence system. This state-of-the-art function allows the evaluation of the main production performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, efficiency level, quality. This functionality of Opera MES is a fundamental analysis tool for managers or supervisors to manage and perform in-depth tests.
Service level, efficiency and reduction of production costs
With foresight, Bibetech decided to equip itself with tools and processes that would allow it to achieve ambitious results. With the support of our partner Link Management who implemented Cyber-Plan APS and Opera MES, Bibetech has achieved a number of incredible goals:
- Significant improvement of Delivery performance: OTD 95%
- Increase in the use of machines in production from 55% to 80%
- Reduction of low-value activities: about 12 hours a day.
- Efficiency increase from 85% to 95%.
- More accurate KPIs with real-time, up-to-date data.
- Reduction of set-up times by about 20%

Therefore, to achieve these goals, Bibetech needed a factory system that could streamline and simplify work, particularly within an ever-growing company that is constantly confronted with ever-stronger competition.
